Online Music Lessons Are Virtually Inspiring!
This is the time of year when we celebrate the accomplishments of our students and teachers at the annual GOM recital. Thanks to the dedication of our talented teachers, the Gifts of Music students have been able to continue their lessons online while at home, which is also cause for celebration.
In the past months as school, business and the world moved online, the Gifts of Music team was able to pivot and provide virtual instruction for our students. There were some glitches along the way with technology, equipment, and materials but they have problem-solved and persevered!
Teacher Donna Ngai wrote, "We will all have a stronger connection to music and to one another following this strange time. One project I've been having fun with is giving duet music to those who have siblings that also play -- in an effort to keep everyone going, as well as giving them the motivation to continue and bring music into their homes. I hope that this is adding to the joy and not creating more stress."
We look forward to the time when we can gather together to listen to their music and applaud their performances, but for now we applaud their hard work and the joy music brings to all of our lives.
