Gavin

"I’m so proud of all that Gavin has achieved in his studies which wouldn’t have been possible without his extremely hard work and the generosity of the Gifts of Music program. Gavin was a Western Region and All-State tubist this year. He played bass trombone in the CJB which traveled to Florida and the Essential Ellington competition among the many other local events. Gavin even grabbed his tuba on a couple tunes at Pops ’n Jazz with the great Wycliffe Gordon. He even SANG on a tune! Gavin is heading to Muhlenberg where he’ll play D3 football. However, his love of music doesn’t end in West Hartford. He’ll be a member of the bands at Muhlenberg on the maximum scholarship awarded to non-majors! He’s been an absolute pleasure to teach and I can’t wait to see what he does next."
